The Historic Filipinotown Coalition is a collection of residents, businesses, and religious, cultural, and community organizations as well as other vested stakeholders that seek to preserve, promote, and develop the Historic Filipinotown neighborhood through:
Amplifying awareness of and connectivity within the Historic Filipinotown community
Fostering inclusive economic development
Advocating for equitable access to health and human services for community members
Improving neighborhood livability, accessibility, and affordability
Promoting Historic Filipinotown’s history and heritage through arts and culture

HiFi Coalition Health & Human Services (HHS) Committee
The Historic Filipinotown Health & Human Services Committee envisions a healthy and thriving neighborhood in which individuals, including those most vulnerable, have equitable access to resources to meet their basic needs, and embodies collective community care through service oriented programs and advocacy.
The committee aims to implement micro, mezzo, and macro level approaches towards addressing health disparities affecting individuals and families in and around Historic Filipinotown through education, collaboration, advocacy, empowerment, and strengthening community-based organizations.
Current HHS Committee Co-chairs are Gennie D. Samala and Alfred Mendiola.
