Meeting Recap and VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: LOTUS FESTIVAL
Happy Hump Day!
It was INCREDIBLE to see so many of you at our HiFi Coalition General Meeting last week. Please find all the information about this meeting (and previous meetings) here on our website: Meetings.
A central theme of our meeting was MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT within our HiFi Community. How can we create engagement with the HiFi Community that is: meaningful, inclusive, collaborative, accessible, AND sustainable / consistent?
One way is REPRESENTING at various events in HiFi, so this is where you’re needed:
CALLING ALL ORGS / REPS / VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: LOTUS FESTIVAL (7/12 - 7/14)
The 43rd annual LOTUS FESTIVAL is taking place next weekend and is celebrating the people and culture of the PHILIPPINES. Hosted by the City of Los Angeles, we are excited to show LA that the Filipino community is here to stay and stronger than ever. So, we need the HiFi Coalition -- with all its members -- to represent!
WANTED: CALLING ALL ORGS / REPS / VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: LOTUS FESTIVAL (7/12 - 7/14)
What: Volunteers to Table the HiFi Coalition Booth at the Lotus Festival Kick-Off Event (7/12) and at the Lotus Festival (7/13-7/14)
When: Fri., 7/12; Sat., 7/13; Sun., 7/14 (sign up for a shift below)
Where: Echo Park Lake: 751 ECHO PARK AVE., LA
How: Bring yourself and materials for your organization/business. When folks come up to the booth, you'll tell them a little more about the HiFi Coalition and your involvement, and encourage them to get involved. Easy peasy.
Orgs, businesses, residents, community members - this will be your opportunity to share more about your own organization, but also how together, we make up a Coalition of collaborators invested in our LA Filipino Community.
This is the perfect opportunity to get/stay engaged and to get to know other people in our amazing HiFi Community. Please consider signing up for one (or MORE) time slots:

NOTE FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS: This is a GREAT opportunity to continue with volunteering hours during the summer!
(We forgot to take a photo while everyone was at the meeting, but I’m glad we got this one at the very end. And thanks to all those who came out after to Dollar Hits as we continue to support our Halika Dito sa HiFi campaign. We dominated that back corner! Haha!)
