University of the Philippines Alumni Association Greater Los Angeles UPAAGLA, a 501(c)(3) organization, partnered with Bayanihang Marikenyo at Marikenya (BM+M) of the Philippines to bring Project Hulmahan to Los Angeles. Project Hulmahan is an art-driven, mutual aid fundraising initiative in support of community-based food sovereignty, livelihood, and art programs from the Philippines. Old shoe lasts are given to artists who transform these into art pieces. “Hope LAsts. Project Hulmahan in Los Angeles” will launch on November 11, 2023 at the FACLA Hall in HiFi Los Angeles. The artworks will be available for purchase up to December 31, 2024. Sponsorships are also available, including extended visibility of up to 14 months through our promotions. Thank you for your support and your contribution will be a tax deductible donation.
Get a chance to meet the artists, the UPAAGLA officers and members. You could purchase the excellent art works on display and support community initiatives in the Philippines and the UPAAGLA endowment fund.
